What is Training?

Training is an opportunity to learn about new subjects or to develop new skills and abilities.
Training sessions led by Girlguiding Warwickshire's Training Team will provide an environment to learn about Guiding and what is has to offer for the girls and young women in your care. There will be time to share experiences and ideas, and to make new friends.

Don't delay, apply today!

Requesting Training and Support

Training can be requested by any member of the county. If a similar session is already scheduled, we will ask the requesting leader to attend that session.

Requests for training should be made using the Training Request Form. (opens on a new page)

Becoming a Trainer

A Trainer's role is to plan and deliver learning to volunteer Leaders. In this way they help make sure girls and young women get the best possible guiding programme experience. You may train adult volunteers in areas of your expertise, including your programme section, Girlguiding UK priorities, soft skills and other specialist skills you may have.

Trainers need to be aware of recent and relevant Girlguiding UK publications and keep up-to-date with policy matters and changes in methods.

If you like sharing knowledge and want to develop your planning and presentation skills becoming a Trainer could be the role for you. Please feel free to have an informal chat with any member of the Training Team.
