Southam guides had a fantastic day at the massive
Drayton manor centenary carnival on April 24th 2010 along side 8,000 other
girl guides from the midlands. We started the day with a colourful carnival
procession through Drayton manor crowds accompanied by drummers/ bands
and general guide noise. Each county were dressed in a different colour
and looked fantastic, we were challenged to create a outfit in green!
. We then were entertained by the final of Guiding got talent and BBC
presenters before all the girl / leaders were " let loose" on
the theme park rides. 2 of our guides were enrolled on the Shockwave Rollercoaster
just before the corkscrew at 53 miles an hour! We were definitely there!!.
