CITY OF COVENTRY NORTH GIRLGUIDING UK City of Coventry North Divisions marked Girlguiding UK's Centenary with another high energy Splash out at Bedworth Leisure Centre. Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section &Leaders joined together to have fun in the water, Coventry North have three districts Keresley, Longford and Wyken, each putting in a team from the youngest rainbow aged 5 years to leaders over 50's race. The girls and young women enjoyed freestyle and obstacle and relay races. Kirsty a young guider "it was really great to see and hear everyone shouting and cheering their district, I had a really good day and I can't remember the last time I laughed so much". Coventry Trophy Centre sponsored the event, each district received a trophy and all swimmers received a certificate. The Lord Mayor Councillor Jack Harrison and his wife Jill, the Lady Mayoress, kindly came to present the trophies to the district Commissioners and Presidents. said ' everyone had a great time and the scores were so very close with
the relay being the decider giving Keresley district triumph.
