Shush! They're fundraising
1st Wellesbourne Rainbow Guides recently raised £95 for WaterAid by holding a sponsored silence. After hearing a story about Amina, a little girl who had to walk 6 miles to fetch water each day and so could not go to school, the Rainbow Guides decided to hold a sponsored silence. £15 would buy enough tools to dig a well in Amina's village.
The girls were challenged to keep quiet for 15 minutes. This was really difficult for some of the girls but they rose to the occasion and raised enough money to buy enough tools to dig six wells.
