Congratulations to Rachel Holland :- Queen's Guide

"Rachel was presented with her Queen's Guide brooch and certificate by Lesley Knighton, Midland Region Commissioner on Wednesday 19 December at St. Mary Immaculate Church Hall, Warwick after Rosie Dalby, Queen's Guide Co-ordinator had given a brief, but detailed overview of all the hard work Rachel had undertaken while working toward the highest Award in Guiding. A buffet followed the presentation with a delicious cake made by Rachel's mum.

Rachel is affectionately know as 'Florence' by all the Brownies and Guides in Warwick especially while at camp.

While working towards her Queen's Guide Award Rachel gained her Camp and Holiday licences and became a blood donor for the Community Action clause.
For the 'Skill' clause, Rachel chose photography - this led the then County Commissioner, Karen Ballard to enlist Rachel's help by being the Camp Photographer at Arden '06.

For the second element of the Outdoor Challenge, Rachel organised an expedition in the Lake District, with a group of peers. They walked 50 miles staying in several Youth Hostels along the way."
