Warwickshire Senior Section Mexico 2009,
4th April- 18th April
We are a group of 18 warwickshire senior section members, between us we help in all sections of girlguiding uk.
We are in the final weeks before our adventure to Our Cabana World Centre for the Easter Celebration. During the eight day stay at Our Cabana we will take part in a service event, Celebrate Easter the Mexican way, meet other members from different parts of the world including Derbyshire and have lots of fun.
As preparation for our trip we have had team building days and weekends, which included a visit to Pax Lodge world centre
We needed to raise £1330 each, which we have done in various ways. As a group we would like to say a Big Thank You
Switch, Wayc, Heart of England Community Fund (Peugeot Fund), Solihull Guide Shop, Rugby Guide Shop, Solihull Lions,
all these groups gave us either a grant or equipment for the whole group.
As a group we have shared a quiz night, cake sale, several bag packing days at both Marks & Spencer's and Sainsbury in Coventry.
Everyone has fund raised in their own way, sponsored bike ride, family race night, quiz nights, sponsored walk, special events within our units, selling surprise boxes at festivals and school fete's and receiving grants for other sources. At all times being good Ambassadors for Warwickshire Girlguiding.

After our time in Our Cabana we will be staying in Mexico for a few days sight seeing.
