Description of Event
All leaders / volunteers need to attend the relevant Safe Space training's for their role by December 2020. From 2021 Safe Space training's will be renewable every 3 years.
Level 3 is the follow on training from level 2 and is relevant to those individuals indicated in the ‘who is it for?’ section below.
Level 3 covers:

What to do if someone tells you about a concern, allegation or disclosure

How to recognise there is a concern
-
How you can support and help someone tell their story safely
-
How to take action and with whom
-
Where to get help
Who is it for?
-
Unit leader / leaders in charge (at least one leader per unit with module four of the Leadership qualification)
-
Leaders who use their Going Away Licence to take girls on residential
-
Any member leading a team of adults (e.g. mentors, advisers, coordinators)
-
Commissioners (level 3 is a prerequisite before you can undertake level 4)
Can I get an exemption from this level?

Prerequisite – already have completed levels 1 & 2 plus undertaken level 3 elearning

Maximum no. of participants per session – 25 (a minimum of 15 attendees are required otherwise the training will be regrettably cancelled)

If over subscribed, priority will be given to volunteers who have not attended a Girlguiding Safe Space training since January 2015
